Why do my brake pads produce a lot of black dust on wheel rims?
Semi-metallic brake pads generate more visible dust as a natural feature. Ceramic pads produce far less dust and run quieter, making them a popular pick for daily commuting. Heavy sudden dust growth means abnormal pad wear that needs inspection.

Brake calipers can differ even within the same year/model based on factory options like "Heavy Duty brakes" or special packages. Always verify your VIN or part number, and sent us with your details for the correct fitment confirmation.

Will these brakes squeal or vibrate during normal driving?
Pre-treated with noise-dampening shims and chamfered edges to minimize squealing. Minor initial light noise during break-in is normal. Persistent vibration usually comes from uncalibrated rotors or worn wheel hubs on your vehicle.

What's the effective way to break these pads in?
Follow a gentle break-in for the first 200 miles. Avoid hard stops, instead make a series of moderate stops from highway speeds, allowing them to cool in between. This conditions the pad surface.

How long will these brake pads last? When should I replace them?
Pad life varies with driving—city vs. highway. Check thickness every 15k–20k miles to be safe. Replace when friction material wears to about 3mm. If pads have wear indicator grooves—when the groove bottom shows, it's replacement time.
